Shipping
Do you ship outside of the UK?
At the moment I only ship items within the UK using Royal Mail.
How long before I receive my item?
As a one person business I can only post items on a Saturday morning. Your item is then likely to take 2-3 days to arrive (not including Sunday).
Please be patient as mail is taking longer to arrive in some places. Once it has left me, there is nothing I can do to make it arrive quicker.
If you would like your item to be sent by 1st class please contact me before you buy and I will organise it, however please be aware that it will cost you more and at the moment there is no guarantee that it will arrive next day.
Please wait at least 5 days before contacting me if an item hasn't arrived.
Returns
Can I return an item if it is not what I was expecting?
You can return items, but you will need to contact me first. You have 14 days to return it from receiving it. You will also need to return it in its packaging and in good condition to get a refund. You will need to pay any postage costs.
Please note I do not except returns on commissions.
What if my item was damaged on delivery?
Please let me know within 48hrs by email and include photos of the damage. I'd be happy to make you a new one.
Safety
How safe is it to wear a glass item?
Although glass can be fragile, I've done my best to make it as robust as possible. All pieces are annealed in my kiln meaning they have cooled slowly and evenly making them much stronger. Beads should be fine to wear. Rings will be more fragile due to nature of the large hole in the middle and how we wear them - on fingers that make contact with many things during the course of a day.
I would suggest making your glass item something you wear and enjoy, but maybe not every day.
Commissions
I've seen a piece on your instagram/website which I love but isn't for sale right now. Can you make me one?
Yes! Contact me and let me know what you'd like and I'll see if I can help.
But please be aware that the nature of glass means it might not be exactly the same. Also sometimes the suppliers change the recipes for their glass so I might have issues getting a colour match.
I have an idea for a piece. Can you help me?
I hope so! Please contact me with the details and I'll see if I can help.
How does the commission process work?
Firstly contact me with your request. We will need time to make sure that I understand fully what you have in mind and can match the colours and shapes you want. Once I know what you want I can give you a timeline and a price. If you are happy with both of these we can go ahead. You will need to pay a 50% non refundable fee to allow me to purchase any materials needed, with the rest due with the finished piece.
Classes
I've booked a class with you but I can't make it now. Can I rebook?
Yes! I understand that life happens. If you can't make a class with me please let me know as soon as possible. We can than decide on a new date that will work better.
Can I give a class as a gift?
Yes! Select the gift option and I will send you a gift card which you can give to your loved one. We can then organise dates after they receive it so we don't spoil the surprise. (Unless you have access to their calendar and want to set up a date before hand.)
Sustainability
Glass and silver aren't the most sustainable materials. What are you doing about this? You're right they aren't. So there are a couple of things I'm doing.
Firstly I try very hard not to create any waste. Just because a bead broke doesn't mean I can't use it in another way.
Secondly I try to recycle materials if I can. You can find me bin-diving looking for nice glass bottles on glass collection day and I try to use recycled silver where I can.
Thirdly 10% of everything I earn goes to the Woodland Trust.
Why do you support the Woodland Trust?
They don't just plant trees! They also work along side other charities like RSPB, National Trust, Plantlife and many more to make sure government create policies with the natural world front and centre.
